Buyer Charge

Buyers pay a 5% buyer fee on the inventory subtotal only. Freight is quoted separately before payment, and the displayed freight charge may include carrier charges plus PlankMarket shipping service margin.

Seller Deductions

Sellers pay a 5% seller fee plus Stripe processing of 2.9% + $0.30 on the inventory subtotal only.

Freight and Seller Transfer

Stripe processes a platform charge at checkout. After live carrier pickup is confirmed and the configured delay passes, PlankMarket initiates a separate Stripe Connect transfer if payment, shipment, refund, and dispute checks still pass. The seller transfer is withheld when live pickup evidence is missing, the shipment is a dry-run, the charge is refunded or disputed, or a marketplace dispute is open.Bank availability then depends on Stripe and the connected account's payout schedule. PlankMarket is not a regulated escrow service and does not act as a trustee, fiduciary, or regulated funds custodian.

High-volume sellers with large inventories or frequent transactions can contact partnerships for onboarding and inventory workflow help. Published seller fees stay at 5% seller fee plus 2.9% + $0.30 processing. There is no reduced-rate path in the current fee schedule.

Common Questions

What happens in case of a dispute or return?

Stripe processes a platform charge at checkout. After live carrier pickup is confirmed and the configured delay passes, PlankMarket initiates a separate Stripe Connect transfer if payment, shipment, refund, and dispute checks still pass. The seller transfer is withheld when live pickup evidence is missing, the shipment is a dry-run, the charge is refunded or disputed, or a marketplace dispute is open. Buyers can report damage, shortages, or quality issues through the platform within 48 hours of delivery with photo evidence. Freight damage must be noted on the delivery receipt at time of delivery. Our support team reviews the order, provider records, and submitted evidence. Buyer and seller marketplace fees are refunded on full refunds; partial refunds receive proportional adjustments.

Are there plans for premium features?

Yes. PlankMarket Pro is already available for power users who want unlimited listings or saved searches, saved-search monitoring and seller repricing tools, seller CRM, bulk upload, and market intelligence. The core marketplace remains usable without a required subscription.

How does tax reporting work?

Sellers receive tax documentation from Stripe Connect for all transactions. You are responsible for reporting income and paying applicable taxes per local, state, and federal regulations.
